EMPLOYEE AWARDS

ITI Technical College held its annual Christmas party on Saturday, December 10.  During the festivities, awards were given to ITI employees for their many years of faithful service.  Receiving awards for five years of services were Danny Brooks, Jeff Brumfield, Tyise Dunnaway, Thad Glindmeyer, Hal Gould, Don Horner, and Russell Louis.  Awards for ten years of service were given to James Dunn and Judy Elilas.  Kathy Gayda received a plaque for fifteen years of service.  Ms. Kathy also received her plaque for 10 years of service from 2006.

Also recognized during the party were the instructional and administrative employees of the year. The instructional employee of the year is chosen by the instructional staff, and the administrative employee of the year is selected by the administrative staff.

Chosen as the Instructional Employee of the Year is Mary LeClercq, an instructor in the Technical Drafting Department.  On each ballot, the voter is given the option to write a brief summary as to why they feel the person they have chosen should be named the employee of the year.  One summary of Mary stated, “Mary is the most pleasant and helpful person I have worked with at ITI.  She takes on additional responsibilities that help others in her department.  I think of her as the assistant department head in drafting.  I don’t think others realize the extent to which her organizational skills are utilized in keeping the department running smoothly.”

Chosen as the Administrative Employee of the Year is Dennis Huckaby, Student Services Representative. Summaries of Dennis state, “Dennis is one of the kindest people I have ever met.  His calm nature and patient ways can resolve many issues.  If we could each have some of that soothing spirit life would be better for all of us!”

“Dennis is a person that is everywhere when needed.  The kindest person ever, always has a smile on his face no matter what the day was like.  Such a positive attitude about everything.  Just an awesome person inside and out.”
