| The Electronics Technology program is designed to equip the graduate with entry-level skills in analog and digital electronics, communications electronics, microprocessors, personal computers technical writing and customer relation skills.. Elective course choices include computer repair, networking software applications, network security as well as Relay logic & programmable controllers. The program begins with basic direct current and alternating current circuits and includes necessary math applications. Analog circuits include such topics as diodes, transistors, and operational amplifiers. Digital electronics including numbering systems and basic logic gates follow. Laboratory experiments reinforce each new topic. Graduates will be prepared for entry-level work in industrial and commercial electronic applications, capable of installing, maintaining and troubleshooting basic electronic equipment and systems such as personal computers and other business machines. The graduate may choose to work with industrial electronic systems for industry, which could include medical equipment, or communications equipment. |
